We Will Get Through This - Coronavirus, Possible Wedding Postponements

Hello Friends~

I hope you are in good spirits and reading this on your well sanitised electronic devices.  I know that we are all feeling very uncertain about how current world health situation is going to play out in the coming months.  I know you are worried about how it may affect your wedding plans, travel and just simply being with your loved ones.  I want to let you know that I understand and I am with you. The situation is heartbreaking and it is hard to know how long it is going to last.

First of all, I want to assure you that, as your photographer, I always care deeply about the health of your guests and you.  For weeks I have been taking every precaution to keep myself healthy, including staying home most of the time and avoiding gatherings.

I am a big optimist by nature but also a realistic and grounded business owner.  This is why I took time to think about all possible options, implications and precautions we can take to be safe while also staying true to our dreams.

I want to tell you that you do have options when it comes to your wedding day plans.  At this time, if your weeding date is 3 or more months away, following options seem best:

  1. Go ahead and do it but keep it small. As long as you narrow yourself down to about 50 folks (including vendors) go ahead and do it.  This number is was what the CDC (Centre for Disease Control in the US) initially recommended and of course is just a guideline. But it does make sense.

  2. Elope with just your photographer (Yesss Please!) and then postpone the rest of the wedding until next year.

  3. FINALLY (3) postpone it all.

No matter the options you choose, I’VE GOT YOU. Thankfully, me and my second shooters are currently healthy and well stocked up on hand sanitisers and masks. Also, unlike some other photography businesses, I have decided that my current contract and clients take precedent over new bookings.  So no matter what you choose, talk to me when you figure it out.

I have decided that as long as the situation in London remains stable, I will continue photographing engagement sessions.  However, I will be limiting location options to avoid crowded areas and traffic.  I am also looking into ways to livestream weddings so that if you limit your guest list, you can include those who cannot be physically present.

I know this is a lot of information and I will be glad to have an open discussion about it with you. I am here to help in whatever way I can.

Remember, no matter what happens, what really matters is your love and your commitment to your partner and your shared dreams. Plus you will have an Epic story to tell in a few decades.

So much love,

xx
